Deutsche Aidshilfe e.V. (DAH) is a community-based advocacy association working in the fields of HIV, sexual health, and human rights. As an umbrella organization with approximately 115 member organizations, it represents the health and social-political interests of people living with HIV/AIDS and provides prevention work for populations affected by or vulnerable to HIV, viral hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Project Manager (m/f/x)

For Work Package 4 of the „CORE – COmmunity REsponse to End Inequalities“ project

(Remuneration Group 13 TVöD (Bund), temporary until 31.12.2025,

Part-time 19,5 hours per week).

 

The Action Grant „CORE – COmmunity REsponse to End Inequalities“ is a three-year project running from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025. Funded by the EU, the project aims to reduce inequalities in the areas of HIV, tuberculosis, and viral hepatitis. It involves 24 partner organizations from 17 countries. The project is divided into 7 Work Packages (WPs). Coordinated by Deutsche Aidshilfe, WP4 aims to identify where, why, and for whom HIV/HCV/TB prevention and treatment are failing in Europe. Another goal is to increase the number of community health workers (CHWs) who will reach people with intersecting vulnerabilities through community-based interventions.

 

Your responsibilities:

·         Coordinate, manage, and provide support for the activities of WP4 – “Capacity Building”, particularly communication and moderation of work processes among WP partners.

·         Support partner networks AAF, ESWA, and C-EHRN in developing, creating, and aligning workshops and developing a „toolbox“.

·         Serve as a member of the Steering Group to coordinate the overall project’s activities on a regular base.

·         Continuously report to and work together with the overall coordination team of CORE.

·         Present project activities and results to the international professional community.

 

Your qualification:

·         Completed university degree (Master, Magister, State Examination, etc.), preferably in health or social sciences.

·         Proven experience in the conception, coordination, and implementation of (international) projects in the field of HIV/HCV/TB and STIs among vulnerable populations.

·         Knowledge of international, particularly European, structures in the field of HIV/HCV/TB prevention.

·         Understanding of the disadvantages faced by groups with intersecting vulnerabilities in HIV/HCV/TB prevention and treatment in Europe.

·         Knowledge of the medical and psychosocial aspects of HIV/HCV/TB and STIs.

·         Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken; German language skills are desired.

·         Diversity-sensitive communication skills and intercultural competence.

·         Strong organizational skills, effective time management, and team spirit.

·         Willingness to travel and work outside of regular hours, including weekends.
